Launch of Sunstar’s “QAIS -air- 03”, photocatalytic deodorization and sterilization system for home use

Sunstar Group (hereafter Sunstar) will launch its first home-use photocatalytic deodorization and sterilization system named “QAIS-air-03” for Japanese market on 31st August 2020.
By adopting UV-LED as the ultraviolet light source, it is possible to downsize and realize a sophisticated design different from conventional deodorizers. Besides, 5 color variations make it easy to familiarize with various kinds of interiors in the rooms.

In addition, by utilizing optional parts, this photocatalytic deodorization and sterilization system can be used as a wall clock, a stand light or a pendant light.

Sunstar’s photocatalytic deodorization and sterilization system oxidizes and decomposes harmful organic compounds such as odor-causing substances, bacteria and viruses floating in the indoor air into water and carbon dioxide by a photocatalytic reaction with using our unique “TMiP®”（Titanium Mesh impregnated Photocatalyst）and ultraviolet light. It has a high deodorizing effect and bacteria/virus removing effect. It does not release any substances for air purification into the indoor space, does not require replacement of dust collection filters. Thanks to such great functions with little maintenance, it is widely used in various indoor spaces such as schools, nurseries, homes, offices, hotels, commercial facilities, medical care facilities as a deodorizing and sterilizing system.
